MS Word Table of Contents Overlaps/Covers the Header and the TOC gets cutoff at the page Footer ie it does not roll into next page (s) as it should.

27June 2024 Win 11 Office 16 MS Word issue I had built this document from old word document source .. so I may have unintentionally copied over some unfavourable settings. If I selected The TOC and performed an Update Field the issue would happen.

This was how I solved Go back to Last good copy of the word doc .. ie one that is not messed up. Select the "Table Of Contents" header text using a mouse swipe, then choose -> Paragraph -> then in the popup enable the "Keep with next" check box -> Hit OK -> Then do the update the TOC by right clicking your mouse and selecting "Update Field" and select "Update Entire Field".
Hope this helps someone else..
